BEGINNERS LESSON: for people that have no experience of driving
As a complete beginner your instructor will meet you at the pre-arranged place of your choice. They will introduce themselves, check your provisional licence, check that your eyesight is up to standard by asking you to read a registration plate. They will then drive you to a suitable area where you will be able to drive, this may be a car park or a very quiet road, and they will ask you to change places and place yourself in the driving seat. Your instructor will then explain the function of the different controls in the car, talk you through the procedure for starting the engine. They will explain how to move off and stop the car safely. You can now begin to drive. You should practice moving off and stopping several times on your first lesson. If you are able to grasp this reasonably quickly and if time permits you may move on to , turning corners, and dealing with simple junctions. Manual drivers should be learning how to change gear and clutch control.

ASSESSMENT LESSON: for people that have driven before
You may have only driven once before or you may have just failed your driving test or be at any stage in-between. Whatever stage you are at, your instructor will need to assess your driving. They can do this by first asking you what experience you have of driving and what topics you have covered, what different types of situations you have driven in. You can ask questions at any time if you are unsure or feel anxious. You will be asked to demonstrate your driving and piece by piece your instructor will be able to build a picture of your driving abilities, they will offer help if it is needed and will not expect you to be able to drive beyond your capability. They can then advise you what you need to practice and begin to build a learning plan to suit your needs.

STANDARD LESSON: for people that have had a beginners or assessment lesson
A structured lesson which can be 1hr, 1˝hrs or 2 hrs long to suit your requirements where you will work towards your lesson plan. Your instructor will record your progress on your appointment card for future reference.

BLOCK BOOKINGS: discount for paying in advance usually in blocks of 5 lessons

REFRESHER LESSONS: for people that have passed the test but have not driven for sometime

MOTORWAY TUITION: for people with a full licence that need experience driving on the motorway

PASS PLUS: for newly qualified drivers that want to improve their skill and receive discount on their insurance

INTENSIVE COURSES

We can arrange for you to have a course of lessons spread over 1,2,3,or 4weeks which would enable you to concentrate your training leading up to a driving test. Intensive courses are subject to you having an assessment where your instructor will be able to inform you of the number of lessons that you will require to bring you up to test standard. The price of the course will depend on the number of hours you will need. Your instructor will advise you of the cost before booking the course.

Before booking an intensive course please be sure that you will be available to take all of the lessons recommended as your driving will have to reach the required standard before you will be able to take the driving test.
